Majority of refugees and asylum seekers in Ghana originate from Cote D’Ivoire (51.0%). Other major nationalities are Togolese (26.2%), Liberians (5.5%); Sudanese (5.0%). Persons of concern from other nationalities including Cameroon, Syria, Central African Republic, Eritrea and others make up 12.3 % of the total population (13,463 as at the end of December 2019) . 49.1% of the population reside in one out of the fours refugee camps of which Ampain Refugee Camp (the largest refugee camp) hosts 51% of that population, Egyeikrom Refugee Camp 22%, Fetentaa Refugee Camp 15% and Krisan Camp 12%.
